The second highest structure of the power plant, the 100-metre ventilation chimney, hatched a baby peregrine falcon. The falcon pair, which has been nesting at the South Bohemian nuclear power plant since 2020, succeeded for the third year in a row. The health of the young falcon was checked by an experienced ornithologist who also ringed the chick. CEZ Group has been cooperating with ornithologists to save the highly endangered peregrine falcon since 2011.
