Over the next 10 years, CEZ plans to recruit approximately 4,000 new professionals with not only technical backgrounds. Due to planned investments in the nuclear power sector, especially in connection with the construction of new nuclear power units at the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant, the development of small modular reactors, and the modernization of existing power plants, CEZ expects increased recruitment in this segment. In addition to nuclear power, however, CEZ is also focusing on recruiting specialists in the areas of distribution, renewable energy, energy-saving technologies, and digitalization of operations. CEZ is meeting the demand for new energy specialists with a number of activities aimed at students and graduates – about 450 candidates pass through its programs annually. Through various programs and internships, CEZ tries to combine students' academic knowledge with practical experience in the real world.
