More than 305,000 visitors visited CEZ information centres and power plants last year. Both in person and through virtual reality. Compared to the previous year, this represents an increase of more than 20 thousand people. Among other things, CEZ uses virtual tours to introduce energy production to primary and secondary school pupils, whose interest in this subject has been growing significantly in recent years. The greatest interest among students, families with children and technology enthusiasts was in the two nuclear power plants Temelín and Dukovany, and traditionally also in the Dlouhé stráně pumped storage power plant. CEZ is undergoing an energy transformation, where coal-fired power plants will be replaced by clean nuclear and renewable sources. It is developing modern energy decentralised and energy-saving systems directly at customers' sites. Electricity distribution is also undergoing a transformation. The development of all these directions will need a large number of workers, and therefore CEZ must already now stimulate students' interest in technology.
