ČEZ Prodej launches an innovative flexibility service: it will remotely regulate the overflow of domestic photovoltaics

ČEZ Prodej is the first large energy supplier to bring its customers an innovative flexibility service called ČEZ FlexiEnergie. The service actively works with the overflow of domestic photovoltaics. Smart management will enable households to use their photovoltaics more efficiently while helping to reduce imbalances in the grid. The service is built on complex algorithms that can evaluate whether there is a need to supply electricity to the grid and, based on the model, send an instruction to the PV plant to reduce production if necessary. Customers receive a financial bonus for joining the service. New installations with the ČEZ Battery Box solution are already ready for flexibility, while for other systems the customer needs to install a small communication device. ČEZ Prodej will gradually enrich the service with additional functionalities and expand the range of supported devices.
