In 2024, the CEZ Foundation supported a record 2,041 projects, one-fifth more than in the previous year

Last year, the largest corporate foundation in the Czech Republic supported a total of 2,041 projects across the Czech Republic, a record in its history. This year, the CEZ Foundation is also announcing its traditional grant procedures and special projects. Starting on January 1, 2025, it began accepting applications for the Trees grant, through which nearly 140,000 trees have already been planted. On the same date, the CEZ Foundation also launched the grant procedure Nonprofits for the development of non-profit organizations in social care. In 2024, the CEZ Foundation helped with the reconstruction or construction of 58 children's and sports playgrounds, planted new greenery in 156 locations, and illuminated 24 pedestrian crossings to make them safer. At the same time, it supported a further 1,828 different regional projects across the Czech Republic, with support going to health, social care, environment, education, culture and sport.
