PROJECT OBJECTIVE
This project's objective is to reduce the energy intensity and heat loss of buildings, using waste heat from the compressor cooling to heat these buildings.
PROJECT INTRODUCTION
The project addresses using waste heat from the cooling of pressurized air compressors and its use to heat the two neighboring buildings and it also addresses implementing cost-saving measures in these newly heated buildings in order to reduce their energy intensity. By implementing the project and the saving measures, it will be possible to use the generated waste heat to heat other neighboring buildings too. At the same time, the costs of heating these buildings will be minimized.
The energy saving project, co-financed by the European Union named “Waste Heat Utilization and Implementation of Energy Saving Measures to Heat Buildings and Reduce their Energy Intensity in Vítkovice”, is focused on building insulation, constructing a converter station, constructing new heat distribution from compressors to the heat converter station and from the converter station, including connecting these distributions to the existing internal distributions of these objects, and regulating these distributions in order to optimize the waste heat utilization and installation of measurement and control systems.
