Reconstruction of the Bělehradská converter station

Subject of realization

• The converter station supplies six supply sections of tram lines in the surrounding area
• Control room relocation to new premises
• Replacement of almost all converter station technology (except for transformers, 22 kV switchboards, and RZK switchboards)
• Replacement of U1 and U2 rectifiers, 660V unit, and replacement of the whole system of own consumption
• Change of control voltage from 48V to 24V
• Implementation of related construction preparation
• The whole construction took place during full operation and all outages and reconnections took place only at night and on weekends

This year, ČEZ Energetické služby, s.r.o., renovated the converter station at Běhehradská, Prague 2, for Dopravní podnik hlavního města Prahy, a. s.
The company was selected on the basis of a tendering procedure, the order was implemented in association with another company.
A very good cooperation took place with the representatives of ČEZ Energetické služby, s.r.o., and all problems were operatively solved to the satisfaction of the investor, even though the whole event took place during the converter station’s full operation. The work was submitted on time, without defects and backlogs.
