ČEZ, a. s. applied to the State Office for Nuclear Safety for suspension of the administrative proceedings in respect of its future operating license for Dukovany NPP Unit 1 until February 28, 2016. The reason for the suspension is the duration of extensive inspections concerning weld joints in process equipment at Unit 1 of the Dukovany NPP and the processing of results into conclusive LTO documentation. At the same time, ČEZ, a. s. applied for an extension of its existing operating license for Dukovany Unit 1.
Activities relating to inspection evaluation are under way at the moment. ČEZ, a. s. will ask to resume the proceedings in respect of the future operation of the Dukovany NPP Unit 1 as soon as the inspections are over and documentation accompanying its license renewal application is amended.
