This morning the start of the reactor of Unit 2, which is after the outage, was postponed. The reason for this was an internal leak of one of the steam generators.
Currently the cooling down of the Unit is taking place so that the defect can be repaired. There was no release of radioactivity outside the Unit equipment. There is no impact of the event on the vicinity of the plant and its staff. The situation has been announced to the State Office for Nuclear Safety.
From Thursday, Unit 1 operates in the power effect of reactivity mode. Every day, the unit output will be reduced by about one per down to the level about 85 per cent of RTP. The power reduction will be terminated on Friday July 10, when the unit will be shut down as planned for the replacement of a quarter of the fuel. The outage is planned till the end of August.
