INFORMATION ON NPP TEMELÍN

Unit 1 is in operation at planned power level. At Unit 2, a planned outage is under way, that is connected with the annual refueling of ¼ of the reactor fuel. The auxiliary systems are working in accordance with the operation needs of individual units.
During the final testing in the framework of concluding the Unit 2 outage, the need for lapping of seat surfaces of the pressurizer safety valve was found. The operations personnel suspended the preparations for the reactor start and, yesterday, started the Unit cooldown. This will take time till Thursday, when conditions will be provided for the works to be done and, subsequently, activities aiming at the Unit start will resume. The reactor start is planned for Monday, June 21. The Unit will be synchronized to the distribution grid in the end of the next week.
