Information on NPP Temelín 188 / 2007

Unit 2 is in operation at planned power level. At Unit 1, 3 "balancing runs" of the modernized turbine have been made at operating speed.

The turbine set balancing has been monitored under conditions when it is not yet synchronized to the power distribution grid. The results are good and the turbine set is ready to be synchronized to the power distribution grid. In the course of today and tomorrow, two remaining power tests will be completed at a reactor power of 30 % RTP and Unit 1 will be ready for synchronization to the power distribution grid. All auxiliary systems of the power plant are working in accordance with the operation needs.

Yesterday, an inspection of the State Office for Nuclear Safety (SÚJB) started at the power plant. It is its objective to verify the procedure of releasing waste waters from the power plant into the Vltavariver at the end of past week.
