Information on NPP Temelín 209 / 2008

At Unit 1, the outage is under way, that is connected with the revision of the third low pressure turbine generator. Today at midnight, Unit 2 will be switched from the distribution grid and the reactor power reduced to 15 %. The reason is the need for a repair on the oil intake to the control valves that control the steam flow to the high pressure turbine. The repair is planned to last for 16 hours. Till the outage, the unit will operate at a power reduced by a quarter.

Information on parameters at Unit 1 today on October 23, 2008 at 11:30 o‘clock:

  • Unit is in Mode 3 
  • Reactor power is 0 %
  • Turbine generator output - 0 MWe
  • Electricity production since the beginning of the year:  4 347 699 MWh

Information on parameters at Unit 2 today on October 23, 2008 at 11:30 o‘clock:

  • Unit is in Mode 1 - power operation
  • Reactor power is 78 %
  • Turbine generator output - 766 MWe
  • Electricity production since the beginning of the year: 5 750 533 MWh
