Information on NPP Temelín 57 / 2008

Unit 2 is in operation at planned power level. Yesterday at 21:00 o'clock, Unit 1 has been disconnected from the power distribution grid in compliance with the schedule and an outage started connected with the tightening of the internal sealing of a pressurizer electric heater that will last for several days. The auxiliary systems of the power plant are working in accordance with the operation needs.

The operations personnel used the Unit 1 outage to perform the control rod drop test.The test was successful, the acceptance criteria have been met.

  Information on parameters at Unit 1 today on March 20, 2008 at 09:00 o‘clock:

  • Unit is in Mode 4
  • Reactor power is 0 %
  • Turbine generator output - 0 MWe
  • Electricity production since the beginning of the year: 1 886 508 MWh

Information on parameters at Unit 2 today on March 20, 2008 at 09:00 o‘clock:

  • Unit is in Mode 1 - power operation 
  • Reactor power is 100 %
  • Turbine generator output - 993 MWe
  • Electricity production since the beginning of the year: 1 835 293 MWh
