The consortium of the Czech and American companies entered the competition on November 30, 2006 when they presented their qualification documentation for participation in the tender proceeding. Considering the significant delay in the tender proceeding and changes of the project parameters the consortium now decided to withdraw from the tender proceeding without further participation.

Consortium CEZ/AES will not attend the tender proceeding in Kosovo
Energy companies CEZ and AES had closed their cooperation in the consortium, which will not attend the ongoing tender proceeding for construction of new generation capacity and reconstruction of the existing power plant, including adjacent coal mine Sibovc in Kosovo.
