CEZ won the Albanian distribution tender

Today the power company CEZ has obtained the official notification of the Albanian Ministry of Power Engineering of the decision rendered by the commission established for evaluation of the bids submitted in the tender for the majority 76% share in the only Albanian distribution company Operatori i Sistemit te Shperndarjes (OSSH sh.a.).

Today, the CEZ utility company has submitted its offer within the privatization procedure concerning the majority interest (76 %) in the sole Albanian distribution company, the Operatori i Sistemit te Shperndarjes (OSSH sh.a.).

CEZ purchases the minority state share in the Polish power plant Skawina

Warsaw, 16 September 2008. Today, the representatives of CEZ and the Polish state, i.e. State Treasury Secretary (skarbu państwa) Aleksander Grad, signed a contract on transfer of the state share in Elektrownia Skawina to CEZ. The transaction will be settled in the following days. For 25 % share + 1 stock, CEZ will pay the Polish state 92.6 million PLN which is almost 672 million CZK.

CEZ Group Buys 600 Megawatt Wind Farm Project in Romania from Continental Wind Partners

Prague, August 27, 2008 – Yesterday evening, CEZ Group, the leading CE power utility, and Continental Wind Partners LLC, a major renewable power developer, concluded the sale of CWP’s adjacent Fantanele and Cogealac wind farms in Romania to CEZ. The two projects will together be the largest onshore wind farm in Europe, with a total capacity of 600 megawatts, approximately double the size of the next largest fully permitted onshore wind farm in Europe, and triple the size of the largest current operational wind farm in Europe. The total investment of the CEZ Group into the project will reach € 1.1 billion.
