In line with the joint venture agreement between ČEZ, a. s. and Turkish Akkök Group the joint venture company AKCEZ ENERJİ YATIRIMLARI SANAYİ VE TİCARET A.Ş. with initial capital TRY 250.000.000 has been established. ČEZ, a. s. as well as the Akkök Group has 50 % equity interest.
AKCEZ will subsequently acquire a 100% share in a Turkish electricity distribution company Sakarya Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş., which distributes almost 8 TWh of elektricity per year among 1.3 million customers in Sakarya region.
