CEZ Group started to deliver electricity to multinational companies throughout the whole Central and Eastern Europe

CEZ Group recently concluded first framework agreement under which it shall deliver electricity to Kraft Foods´ companies in five countries in the region of Central and Eastern Europe. More customers showed interest in such integrated regional supplies

Electricity supplies to the companies of Kraft Foods were started in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Romania on January 1, 2007. Supplies in Poland should commence during first half of this year. The framework agreement also assumes in the future extension to other countries in Central and Eastern Europe, where Kraft Foods operates.

“The regional supply agreement with Kraft Foods is our first integrated international end-user supply contract. We have succeeded due to our flexibility a well-prepared offer and our ability to address customer needs in the whole Central and Eastern Europe from one place. Centralized trading approach of CEZ enables such customer centered service across all countries where CEZ Group is commercially active. We have today commercial licenses in 9 countries of CSEE region. Similar contracts for integrated supplies in multiple countries are in negotiation,” said Alan Svoboda, Executive director for Sales and Trading at CEZ.

With CEZ we have found a supplier with good central coordination who was able to offer us competitive conditions for the majority of our sites in the Central & Eastern European area, and by this, it have fulfilled our strive to reduce complexity by having one supplier covering multiple countries and locations,” said Arve Axelsson Procurement Manager Electricity EMEA.
