RWE group´s members in the Czech Republic and members of CEZ Group are going to open common custom offices this yearCustomers in six cities will be able to settle all matters regarding natural gas and electricity supplies at one place Cooperation of RWE and CEZ Group for the benefit of their customers

Prague, 13th June 2006 –  Gas distribution companies coming under RWE group in the Czech Republic and CEZ Group are going to open common custom offices. They are going to provide services connected with natural gas supplies as well as with electricity supplies in chosen cities from one place. The goal of the changes is to improve service availibility and shorten the time necessary for power consumption negotiations. The Energy from one place project has already been commenced in Liberec and Karlovy Vary (5th June 2006), and will be followed by Olomouc and Pardubice (3rd July 2006), Hradec Kralove and Ostrava (1st August 2006).

„We embrace the decision of RWE group members in the Czech Republic on moving a part of their custom offices to common centres. Settling matters concerning power consumption will now be easier and faster. Furthermore, our customers will still go to the places they are accustomed to, as six of the new offices will be opened in former CEZ Group´s business premises,“ said Martin Roman, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of CEZ, a.s.

The pilot place for implementing the Energy from one place concept was Plzen. Two years of successful operation supported the idea of common business centres.

„The first important cooporation of RWE and CEZ Group will definitely benefit the customers of both companies. We have joined with the main goal – to provide better service. Service availibility enhancement also strengthens our competitiveness  on the opening natural gas market,“ said Dr. Ulrich Jobs, Chairman of the Board of Directors of RWE Transgas, a.s..

The common centres will enable customers to settle all matters regarding contract amendments, self-reading reports, claims settlement, answering all queries, which the customers used to solve in the original custom offices.

Customers of Severoceska plynarenska, a.s., Zapadoceska plynarenska, a.s., Vychodoceska plynarenska, a.s. and Severomoravska plynarenska, a.s. will be informed about the changes in addresses of individual offices in advance. Detailed information is already today available on websites of all the companies and on custom phone lines.
