Information from the NPP Temelín 151 / 2006

Unit 2 is in operation at planned power level. A larger than usual amount of dirt condensate was found in two hermetically closed and unserviced rooms yesterday afternoon. The condensate subsequently flew off through the drainage collecting system that is assigned to this task into the collecting tank to be purified.

August 3, 2006

The reason of such graded flow in was a partly open manual valve serving to occasional replenishment of siphons of an auxiliary system of a collecting tank that is not a part of the primary system pressure boundary. No release of radioactive substances into the environment and out of the power plant controlled zone occurred. Neither the health of the employees of the power plant was endangered.

At Unit 1, the planned outage is under way connected with the annual replacement of ¼ of the reactor fuel. All auxiliary systems of the power plant are in operation in accordance with the operational needs of the units.
