Information on NPP Temelín 105 / 2008

Unit 1 is in operation at planned power level. At Unit 2, a planned outage is under way, that is connected with the annual refueling of 1/4 of the reactor fuel. The auxiliary systems are working in accordance with the operation needs of individual units.

At midnight today the operating personnel will start, as planned, the decreasing of Unit 1 reactor power. After that the generator will be disconnected from the electric grid. The reason for this is to perform of the regular test of the reactor control rods. In accordance with the test schedule, Unit 1 should renew electricity supply again on Sunday, 1st June 2008.

Information on parameters at Unit 1 today on May 30, 2008 at 8:30 o‘clock:

  • Unit is in Mode 1 - power operation
  • Reactor power is 100 %
  • Turbine generator output - 1007 MWe
  • Electricity production since the beginning of the year:  2 997 869 MWh

Information on parameters at Unit 2 today on May 30, 2008 at 8:30 o‘clock:

  • Unit is in Mode 6 
  • Reactor power is 0 %
  • Turbine generator output - 0 MWe
  • Electricity production since the beginning of the year: 2 967 592 MWh
