Information on NPP Temelín 109 / 2007

The first Unit is operated at a planned power level. At Unit 2, the planned outage connected with the replacement of ¼ of fuel in the reactor is under way. All auxiliary systems of the power plant are working in accordance with the operation needs.

At the past weekend, the fuel loading of the Unit 2 reactor has been completed. All 163 fuel assemblies (out of which 48 modernized are used) is placed in the reactor core, where they will work the next annual campaign. At the weekend, the loading correctness check performed by the workers of the State Office for Nuclear Safety also took place. The Unit’s 2 outage got this way in its second half. The re-assembly of the reactor and the completion of the turbine generator’s will be its most important works so that Unit 2 will be able to restart its operation.
