Information on NPP Temelín 121 / 2008

Unit 1 is in operation at planned power level. At Unit 2, a planned outage is under way, that is connected with the annual refueling of 1/4 of the reactor fuel. The auxiliary systems are working in accordance with the operation needs of individual units.

On Saturday night the operating personnel started the reactor of Unit 2. The operator obtained the approval for this from the State Office for Nuclear Safety before the restart.

The outage will continue by a series of physics tests at a minimum reactor power. The tests will verify the reactor core parameters before the Unit power operation.
