Information on NPP Temelín 124 / 2008

Unit 1 is in operation at planned power level. At Unit 2, a planned outage is under way, that is connected with the annual refueling of 1/4 of the reactor fuel. The auxiliary systems are working in accordance with the operation needs of individual units.

Yesterday, “balancing runs” of the turbine have been made at operating speed (3000 rpm). This morning, the operations personnel increased the Unit 2 reactor power to 30% RTP. The power ascension tests were begun at this power level. These tests are focused on setting-up and distribution of reactor power.

  Information on parameters at Unit 1 today on June 26, 2008 at 9:00 o‘clock:

  • Unit is in Mode 1 - power operation
  • Reactor power is 100 %
  • Turbine generator output - 1006 MWe
  • Electricity production since the beginning of the year: 3 624 446 MWh

Information on parameters at Unit 2 today on June 26, 2008 at 9:00 o‘clock:

  • Unit is in Mode 1 - power operation
  • Reactor power is 0 %
  • Turbine generator output - 0 MWe
  • Electricity production since the beginning of the year: 2 967 592 MWh
