Information on NPP Temelín 130 / 2007

The first Unit is operated at a planned power level. At Unit 2, all planned works connected with the replacement of ¼ of fuel in the reactor have been completed after 60 days. All auxiliary systems of the power plant are working in accordance with the operation needs.

July 3, 2007

Today, the Power Plant Temelín will ask the State Office for Nuclear Safety for permit to restart Unit 2. In accordance with the updated schedule, the reactor will be restarted on Thursday. A week long block of physical tests will follow and, also, balancing of the turbine after its modernization will be performed. After completing all planned preparatory activities, Unit 2 will be prepared to restart the electricity production and to synchronize to the national power grid in the middle of the next week.

· Reactor power is 97 %
· Turbine generator output - 979 MWe
· Electricity production since the beginning of the year: 2 215 075 MWh

· The Unit is in Mode 3
· Reactor power is 0 %
· Turbine generator output - 0 MWe
· Electricity production since the beginning of the year: 2 975 006 MWh
