Information on NPP Temelín 137 / 2007

The first Unit is operated at a planned power level. On Saturday July 14, 2007 at 0:40 a.m., the Unit 2 power was increased to 100% RTP. Today, the operations personnel completes the last planned power ascension tests. All auxiliary systems of the power plant are working in accordance with the operation needs.

Yesterday, shortly before midnight, the Temelín power plant production exceeded 60 billions kWh of electricity. Since December 21, 2000. when the Unit1 produced for the first time electricity at 20:36 o’clock, the electricity production reached 60 002 193 MWh at yesterday’s midnight. This amount of electricity would cover the net annual electricity consumption in the Czech Republic (in 2005, the net electricity consumption in the Czech Republic reached 57,66 billions kWh). In the framework of the implementation of the project of the long-term stabilization SAFETY 15TERA, it is a long-term goal of the Temelín power plant to produce from 2012 annually 15 billions kWh of electricity, hence, 60 billions for each four years.

· Turbine generator output - 981 MWe
· Electricity production since the beginning of the year: 2 521 178 MWh

· Unit is in Mode 1 - power operation
· Reactor power is 100 %
· Turbine generator output - 1004 MWe
· Electricity production since the beginning of the year: 3 069 455 MWh
