Unit 2 is in operation at planned power level. Yesterday afternoon at 14,19 o'clock, the outage has been completed one day in advance at Unit 1. The technicians connected the unit to the national distribution grid and, prior to achieving the full power, they will perform one week lasting prescribed physics tests of the reactor core at several power levels. All auxiliary systems are working in accordance with the operation needs of individual units.

Information on parameters at Unit 1 today on August 15, 2006 at 08:00 o‘clock:
· Unit is in Mode 1
· Reactor power is 76 %
· Turbine generator output - 750 MWe
· Electricity production since the beginning of the year: 3 455 625 MWh

Information on parameters at Unit 2 today on August 15, 2006 at 08:00 o‘clock:
· Unit is in Mode 1 - power effect operation *
· Reactor power is 89 %
· Turbine generator output - 899 MWe
· Electricity production since the beginning of the year: 4 387 493 MWh

*Power effect – a use of the reactor core physics properties that make possible the maximum possible exploitation of the energy contained in the fuel. It comes into exploitation exclusively at the end of the fuel campaign; it is due to it that the fuel campaign may be prolonged by up to 20 days. It is accompanied by the stepwise reactor power reduction by about 0,7 % per day.
