Information on NPP Temelín 171 / 2007

At Unit 1, a planned outage is under way, that is connected with the annual refueling of ¼ of the reactor fuel. Unit 2 is in operation at planned power level. All auxiliary systems are working in accordance with the operation needs of individual units.

August 31, 2007

In the today’s morning hours, the fuel loading into the production Unit 1 reactor has been completed. All 163 fuel assemblies (out of which 91 modernized are used) are placed in the reactor core, where they will work for the next annual campaign. Subsequently, an inspection of the reactor core loading correctness has been performed by the officers of the State Office for the Nuclear Safety. The Unit’s 1 outage got this way into its second half. The re-assembly of the reactor and the completion of the turbine generator’s modernization will be its most important works so that Unit 1 will be able to restart its operation.

  • Electricity production since the beginning of the year: 4 150 782 MWh
