Information on NPP Temelín 186 / 2007

Yesterday afternoon, the power plant Temelín received the permit of the State Office for Nuclear Safety (SÚJB) for the restart of the Unit 1 reactor. Unit 2 is in operation at planned power. All auxiliary systems of the power plant are working in accordance with the operation needs.

After the SÚJB permit issue, the operations personnel started activities necessary for the restoration of the Unit 1 operation. The reactor start itself is expected in the course of today (achieving of the minimum controllable stabilized power). The physics and power tests will follow at this minimum power level. After their completion, the reactor power will be increased step by step and the Unit will be ready for the synchronization to the power distribution grid next week.
