Information on NPP Temelín 195 / 2007

Both the first and the second Units are operated at a planned power levels. All auxiliary systems of the power plant are working in accordance with the operation needs.

This evening, Unit 2 will be, as planned, shut down for a short period. The reason of it is the performance of the regular test of the reactor control rods. In accordance with the test schedule, the electricity delivery from Unit 2 will be restored in the evening on Saturday October 6.

On Sunday morning, the Unit 1 reactor power will be reduced to 38 % RTP and a short term turbine generator disconnection from the distribution power grid will take place. The reason of it is the performance of the planned repair on the oil system of the control valve that controls the steam amount flowing to the high pressure turbine. The repair is planned for ten hours and, still on Sunday, Unit 1 will resume its electricity production.
