Information on NPP Temelín 204 / 2008

Unit 2 is in operation at planned power level. Today at 6:28 a.m., the Unit 1 reactor of the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant has been restarted. The auxiliary systems are working in accordance with the operation needs of individual units.

The reactor start has been preceded by the acquirement of the approval for the unit restart by the State Office for Nuclear Safety. Currently, the physical tests at the minimum reactor power level are carried out that will be completed during the weekend. Subsequently, the reactor power will be increased and Unit 1 will be synchronized to the power distribution grid.

Information on parameters at Unit 1 today on October 16, 2008 at 10:00 o‘clock:

  • Unit is in Mode 2 
  • Reactor power is 0 %
  • Turbine generator output - 0 MWe
  • Electricity production since the beginning of the year:  4 347 699 MWh

Information on parameters at Unit 2 today on October 16, 2008 at 10:00 o‘clock:

  • Unit is in Mode 1 - power operation
  • Reactor power is 100 %
  • Turbine generator output - 1010 MWe
  • Electricity production since the beginning of the year: 5 582 661 MWh
