Information on NPP Temelín 220 / 2007

Both Unit 1 and 2 are in operation at full rated power. The auxiliary systems of the power plant are in operation in accordance with the operational needs of the units.

On Saturday evening, the reactor power of Unit 1 will be reduced to 38 % and at 20 o’clock a short time turbine generator disconnection from the distribution grid will occur. The reason is that a planned operational repair has to be done in the non-nuclear part of the power plant. A leakage in the outlet of the pressure measurement of the high pressure turbine will be repaired. The works will be carried out in the night so that the Unit 1 will resume electricity production on Sunday November 11.
