Information on NPP Temelín 241/2006

Unit 1 is in operation at planned power level. At Unit 2, the technicians put the reactor into operation in the morning and are preparing the Unit to the synchronization to the distribution grid.

December 8, 2006

Tonight, Unit 1 will be shut down as planned for a short time. The reason is the performance of the regular test of the reactor control rods. The electricity delivery from the Unit will be restored on Sunday. All auxiliary systems are working in accordance with the operation needs of individual units.

· Unit is in Mode 1 - power operation
· Reactor power is 96 %
· Turbine generator output - 976 MWe
· Electricity production since the beginning of the year: 5 952 842 MWh

· Unit is in Mode 1
· Reactor power is 2 %
· Turbine generator output - 0 MWe
· Electricity production since the beginning of the year: 4 990 993 MWh
