Another record production for CEZ it reached the amount of 61.1 TWh

CEZ Power Company generated a historic record amount of electricity last year, when the production in its power stations reached 61 602 GWh (61.6 milliard B.O.T. units). The previous year´s production (60 934 GWh) was surpassed by 1.1 per cent.

The power production in renewable sources of CEZ (hydro power plants without pumped-storage, biomass, wind and solar plants) increased by 97 % to 1,215 GWh compared to the previous year. CEZ conventional power stations generated 33,666 GWh, making up 54.6 % of overall production. 149 GWh of this amount of electricity was produced from biomass. The nuclear power plants increased their production by 1.8 per cent to 26,325 GWh compared to the previous year. The nuclear power plants made up 42.7 % of CEZ. The hydro power stations produced 1,611 GWh - it was an increase of 58 per cent compared to the previous year, which was mainly the result of the dry weather in 2003.

The wind power plants of CEZ generated 478 MWh, which represented a year-on-year increase of 103 %. The Dukovany Solar Plant produced 8 MWh.
