CEZ does not plan to sell Hodonin power plant

CEZ Power Company would hereby like to refute information about the alleged sale of Hodonin power plant, which has recently appeared in the press. CEZ is thus reconfirming the fact that it has no intention to sell the Hodonin plant and no such transaction is being prepared.

This rumour was probably triggered by the news of the planned establishment of a joint enterprise of CEZ and Hodonin municipality, whose assets would also entail the power plant. This project aims to interconnect the power plant with other essential networks in the town, owned by the municipality, and thus ensure the future operation of this source and the perspective for its staff. It is absolutely necessary to be connected to the transmission network, as it is quite self-evident that the future operation of the plant depends on a functioning system of supply to its consumers.
