CEZ Group has submitted an offer for German MIBRAG

A consortium of Severočeské doly (a brown coal mining company), member of the CEZ Group, and J & T Group have placed a bid for 100 % share in coal mining company Mitteldeutsche Braunkohlengesellschaft mbH.

The details of the offer will not be disclosed.

MIBRAG exploits brown coal in central German brown-coal basin, southern from Leipzig, and in distance of several tens of kilometers from the borders with Czech Republic. The american companies URS Corporation and NRG Energy Inc. own each an equal share of 50% of MIBRAG. More information about MIBRAG is available on its website www.mibrag.de.
