"As a supplier, we have good experience with this region. Czech and Slovak companies have already supplied equipment with an output of 4,000 MW to the Balkans in the past," says Peter Bodnár, Director General of Škoda Praha, explaining the success of the company's two-year efforts. The cooperation between Czech and Slovak companies will continue in this case as well. The delivery of a boiler from the Slovak firm SES Tlmače will be a significant part of the project. Local companies will also be involved in the project. The new block represents a strategic investment by the dominant producer and distributor of electric power in Montenegro, Elektroprivredy Crne Gore (EPCG), with the aim of ensuring a reliable supply of electricity to the country's citizens.
Škoda Praha is a supplier of custom designed energy equipment. During its 60-year history, it has supplied more than 40,000 MW at thermal and nuclear power plants worldwide. The company's main focus is export, and it has ambitions to become the "engine" of the Czech energy industry.
