CEZ has submitted a tentative offer for the Polish company Katowicki Holding Węglowy S.A.

CEZ Power Company has today submitted a tentative, not binding offer for the Polish coal company Katowicki Holding WÄ™glowy S.A. The privatization tender for a fully 10 % share in the company was announced by the Polish government at the end of this year´s August.

By submitting the tentative bid, CEZ continues its effort to create a vertically integrated power group within the region of Central and South-Eastern Europe and confirms its serious interest in the Polish power market.

Katowicki Holding Węglowy S.A. is the second largest black coal mining company in Poland with yearly volume of ca 18.5bn tonnes of black coal.
