CEZ Produced a Five-Year, Syndicated Guaranty Amounting to EUR 85 Million

The process lasting for several months of preparation for the five-year, syndicated guaranty amounting to EUR 85 million in favor of the European Investment Bank (EIB) was completed this 28th April by ceremonial execution. The guaranty's arranger was The Sumitomo Bank, Limited, Japan. The annual guaranty fee will be 0.55 %. In addition to the Sumitomo Bank, Limited, the guaranty involves seven other banks.

In addition to the Sumitomo Bank, Limited, the guaranty involves seven other banks; San Paolo IMI SPA, European Investment Fund, Caisse Nationale Caisse D'Epargne, The Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank, Limited, DG Bank-Deutsche Genonenschaft AG, Credit Lyonnais, and The Sanwa Bank, Limited. The guaranty is a must for the drawing of the second tranche of EIB loan amounting to EUR 85 million. CEZ, a.s. had signed the loan contract with EIB in 1995. The loan with eighteen-year maturity consists of two tranches. The first tranche amounting to EUR 100 million has already been withdrawn.
