"Tests are carried out under the direct supervision of experts from the State Office for Nuclear Safety and Institute of Technical Inspection. Results as per protocol to be prepared by VUEZ Tlmace, the research institute carrying out the measurements, will be known on Thursday at about midday," added Temelin NPP press spokesman Milan Nebesar.

"The preliminary measurement results achieved so far indicate that the containment will pass very well also the verification tightness test. The next verification test, periodical one this time, will be carried out on the Unit One containment at the first replacement of fuel, i.e. in about a year following the start of operation of the unit. Later this year strength and tightness tests of Unit Two containment will be carried out," supplemented the information Pavel Vojta from the section of containment integrity tests at Temelin NPP.
