Gabriela Bartikova has been made Director of the Rainbow Energy Fundation

The Board of Directors of the Rainbow Energy Foundation elected and appointed Gabriela Bartikova, a former press officer of the Ministry of Home Affairs, as new director of the foundation yesterday (28 June). Lucie Speratova, who, besides others, has worked for the Charter 77 Foundation-Konto Bariery, was made her deputy. The founder of the Rainbow Energy Foundation, through which its members develop their humanitarian activities, is the CEZ Group. The Rainbow Energy Foundation yearly supports projects amounting to 100 million CZK and belongs to the largest in the Czech Republic. (www.duhovaenergie.cz).

Gabriela Bartikova (born in 1974) studied the Faculty of Education, Charles University in Prague from 1993-1997(Humanity Education), from 1997-2000 the Faculty of Philosophy, Charles University (Integral human studies-general anthropology) and in 2002 and 2003 Europeum, the European Studies at the Faculty of Social Studies and the Faculty of Law, Charles University. From 2000-2003 she worked as the director of Press and Public Relation Department and the Press Officer at the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Czech Republic. After that she was employed as an EU relations specialist at the Department of Foreign Relations, later on as the director of the PR Department at the Prague City Council. She is known by the public as an actress, TV and radio moderator, script-writer, reporter, director and journalist. The website and internet radio projects, which she started at the Ministry, have been awarded the Cesky zavinac prize (The Czech At-sign). Gabriela Bartikova is also the author of the education project for elementary schools called Jak to vidim ja (As I See It), which has been joined by 3000 schools from all over the Czech Republic. She speaks excellent English (Certificate Advanced-Wimbledon School of English- accredited by The British Council), goes in for sports (tennis, skiing, diving) and culture (art, literature, music).   Ladislav Kriz, Press Officer, CEZ, a. s.
