Personal changes in CEZ Power Company

At today's meeting, the Board of Directors of CEZ Power company has acknowledged the intention of Mr. Jiri Borovec, Vice-chairman of the Board and Executive Director for Power Generation, to leave the company as of December 31, 2007. Resignation from the position of Vice-chairman of the Board has to be acknowledged by CEZ's Supervisory Board.

“Mr. Jiri Borovec has made a significant contribution to the CEZ Group. The division of Power Generation has been successfully transformed under his leadership. Mr. Borovec prepared and launched Power Plant Portfolio Renewal project, the largest investment plan in the Czech Republic, and other initiatives such as Asset Management. Project of stabilisation of Temelin power plant is also progressing successfully,” said Martin Roman, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer.

“I have decided to seek other challenges and continue my carrier outside CEZ Group. I believe that during three years with CEZ I fulfilled the mission, with which I joined the company,” Jiri Borovec added.
