Petr Voboril appointed the chairman of the CEZ Board of Directors

Today´s meeting of the CEZ Board of Directors appointed Petr Voboril as the new Chairman of the Board. Josef Sedlak was appointed the Vice-Chairman of the Board.

Today´s appointment was agreed by the Supervisory Board at its session held last Friday. All the participants in the meeting came to the agreement that the post of the Board chairman had to be filled in order to ensure smooth functioning of the company, in compliance with its internal guidelines and regulations.

Vice-Chair: Josef Sedlak, M.Sc.

Petr Voboril

Mr. VoboĹ™il graduated from the Technical University in Prague, where he majored in environmental technology, followed by a postgraduate study focusing on the development of heat supply systems. In 1997 completed an InterManager course, aimed at developing standard EU managerial skills. Ever since 1980 he has been an employee of CeskĂ© energeticke zavody (Czech power utility). The first ten years he was working in the area of operation management and CHP development. Since 1990 he has held various posts in economic sections. On 1 January 1995 he was appointed the Director of the CEZ Planning and Analysing Division.

In 2000 he was appointed the CEZ Vice-CEO and the Executive Director for Finances and Administration. Since 16 October 2002 he has held the post of the CEZ Executive Director for Strategic Development and on 24 February 2003 he was also appointed the Vice-Chairman of the CEZ Board of Directors.
