Temelín is scheduled to refuel the reactor of Unit 2

The refueling, inspections of safety systems, and the implementation of 55 investment activities. These are just examples of the most important works to be performed during the planned Unit 2 outage. Overall, technicians are planning to carry out nearly twelve thousand activities and want to master it within two months.

The Temelín Unit 1 restored electricity production, despite the coronavirus, the technicians kept to the planned deadlines

This afternoon Temelín Unit 1 started producing electricity. The operators shut it down for refueling on March 13. The outage lasted for 59 days and the technicians e.g. replaced a quarter of the fuel, inspected the turbine and safety systems during it. Due to the coronavirus, they had to adjust the timetable before it started, but in the final, they kept the deadlines, despite many health-protective measures. Together with the Dukovany power plant, all six nuclear units are currently in operation.

ČEZ Applies for Permission to Construct Two New Blocks at the Dukovany Nuclear Power Station

Today, ČEZ filed for permission with the State Office for Nuclear Safety to build new nuclear power blocks at Dukovany. This concluded its five-year preparations, being now ready for the licensing process in accordance with the Atomic Energy Act.

GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy and ČEZ Announce Small Modular Reactor Technology Collaboration in the Czech Republic

GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH) and ČEZ, a. s., an integrated electricity conglomerate, have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding through which the companies have agreed to examine the economic and technical feasibility of potentially constructing a BWRX-300 in the Czech Republic.
