CEZ has signed implementation agreement under largest-ever foreign investment of Czech firm

Within the scope of the establishment of a joint venture for a project to construct a new power plant Gacko II, modernize the present power plant Gacko I and expand mining in an adjacent mine, which will supply both plants with its production, CEZ Power Company and the Serbian power company ERS have signed an implementation agreement in Gacko.

Electricity production from biomass in CEZ Group has increased by 37.8 % to almost 68 GWh compared to the previous year

CEZ Group significantly increased electricity production from co-burning of biomass in the first quarter of this year. Total production reached 67,561 MWh and represented a year-on-year increase of 37.8 %. Total weight of the used biomass exceeded 74 thousand tonnes (a year-on-year increase of 41.6 %).

CEZ has today delivered Information on operating events at Temelin Nuclear Power Plant in the years 2002-2007

CEZ Power Company has today presented to the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic the official Information on operating events at Temelin Nuclear Power Plant. This Information was prepared following the requirement which resulted from discussion of the Minister of Industry and Trade Martin Riman, Minister of Environment Martin Bursik, Chairwoman of the State Office for Nuclear Safety Dana Drabova and representatives of CEZ taking place on 17 March, 2007.Since the initiation of trial operation in 2002, there has been no operating event which might be rated as an incident or accident by the international INES scale at Temelin. The Information describes 166 operating events classified as 0 deviation and 1 anomaly.

The proposed amount of CEZ´s dividend: 20 CZK

Yesterday´s meeting of CEZ Power Company´s Board of Directors decided on the proposal for the amount of a dividend from the last year´s profit (non-consolidated), which is going to be submitted to the general meeting on 23 April 2007. The Board is going to propose a gross dividend in the amount of 20 CZK per share (nominal value 100 CZK).
