It is necessary to negotiate such wordings of the contracts and all the related documentation so that this contract, the biggest ever made in the Czech Republic, covers all related risks and is acceptable for the investor. In view of the ongoing tender, no further details may be disclosed.
Considering the scope of the documentation discussed, the number of changes to be incorporated and the complexity and interrelated nature of the issues involved, ČEZ plans to follow up on the July negotiation sessions with detailed discussions in September and October 2013. "The total duration of our discussions with the bidders will depend on how fast the bidders' positions will come close to ČEZ' requirements," says Ladislav Kříž, ČEZ' Spokesman, when describing next steps in the negotiations.
In order to complete the negotiations and make a final decision on the capital project, ČEZ will strive to ensure that the negotiated conditions and the overall framework represented by the Czech National Energy Strategy and the related legislation provide certainty that the funds invested in the project will be paid back.
