Sustainability managers of global companies from diverse sectors (e. g. banking, insurance, energy, shipping, manufacturing, retail, and fast-moving consumer goods) associated in the Council for Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability have come to Prague to discuss the latest trends in sustainability and ESG. The main topics on the agenda include the EU taxonomy, ESG supply chain, Due Diligence Directive, or insights from sustainability reporting.
This year, the regular Autumn work meeting of this section of the international association Conference Board is hosted by CEZ Group.
"We announced our ESG goals two years ago and we have already significantly improved our ESG rating. I am glad that CEZ Group got the opportunity to host such an important event. It is a confirmation that we have quickly established ourselves as a major European player in the field of sustainability. Meeting with fellow ESG experts is an opportunity and inspiration for us. The opportunity to learn from real examples and experiences of other important companies and to share best practice with each other is essential," says CEZ Chief Sustainability Officer Kateřina Bohuslavová.
"Sustainability is becoming increasingly important for companies. Development in the field is very dynamic, and close monitoring and adaptation is crucial. The range of activities related to sustainability is constantly expanding, so we welcome the opportunity to learn from each other. The better we all become, the better for the planet and for society," says Henrik Larsen, the Council Director of the Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Council at The Conference Board Europe.
Conference Board is an independent global organization founded in 1916 as an association of business companies to provide independent expert analysis of the areas that have the greatest impact on businesses. It currently has over 2,000 members and its economic indicators, surveys and analyses are a source of timely and accurate information on business conditions around the world. It publishes about 45 major reports a year, e.g., on the topic of employment, consumer confidence, economic outlook, but also on ESG.
