Joint Press Announcement

The companies Severočeské doly, a.s., Mostecka uhelna společnost, a.s., Sokolovska uhelna,a .s., Carbounion Bohemia, s.r.o. and CEZ, a. s., have just established a new joint-stock company Coal Energy, a.s. which will trade part of electricity generated by CEZ-operated thermal power plants fired by brown coal. Each of the founders shall own 20% of the new company.

CEZ has successfully sold another part of the "rainbow", which will be followed by a second tender

All distribution companies accepted the offer from CEZ for another three products included in the "rainbow energy" package. This package follows and complements the first, cheapest product, so called "yellow electricity, which is sold for 73.4 hellers per kWh. Distribution companies used the second offer almost to the full by confirming their intention to buy a total of 7.6 TWh...

Considerable demand for CEZ-generated electricity in a public tender

A public tender was terminated yesterday, during which the interested parties had had an opportunity to choose from a total volume of 2.7 TWh of so called "yellow" electricity ( the cheapest type of electricity) which is included in the CEZ offer for the next year. This entails a broadband supply of electricity over the whole of next year (a continuous supply of unvarying electricity volume 24 hours a day, 365 days a year).

CEZ offered another part of the "rainbow"

CEZ electricity provider offered another part of its "rainbow electricity" to distribution companies yesterday. The offer consists of three new products - so called "green electricity" - broadband electricity supplied throughout the entire year on weekdays at the price of 88 hallers (approx. 2 cents) per kWh, so called red electricity - broadband electricity supplied on a monthly basis at an average price of 82 hallers per kWh and so called blue electricity - broadband electricity supplied on weekdays on a monthly basis at an average price of less than 82 hallers per kWh.
