CEZ would like to participate in the privatisation of Slovakian distribution companies
CEZ sent a letter to the Slovakian State Property Fund today, in which it expressed its preliminary interest in buying the offered 49% equity shares in three Slovakian distribution companies. These include three power companies: Zapadoslovenska energetika (ZSE - North Slovakia), Stredoslovenska energetika (SSE - Central Slovakia) a Vychodoslovenska energetika (VSE - East Slovakia).

Changes in the top management of the transmission system operator
Ludmila Petranova - a member of the CEPS Executive Board and the Director of the CEPS economic and finance section - was appointed General Manager of the company. The previous chairman of the Executive Board and General Manager of the company Ales Tomec was removed from his position as member and chairman of the Executive Board of the company by its 100% owner, CEZ Power Company. Consequently he also resigned from the position of General Director.

The sales of rainbow electricity has been more than successful
CEZ has already sold a total of 31.7 TWh for the next year, which accounts for 85 percent of the estimated amount of electricity supplied this year to the Czech market. CEZ has also already contracted more than 8 TWh of electricity for export.

Another part of rainbow electricity was sold through public tender
Monday November 5 saw the conclusion of the second public tender in which interested parties could choose from three other products from the CEZ rainbow electricity package offered for the next year. The following three products were sold through the tender - so called green electricity - a broadband supply of electricity over the whole year on weekdays, so called red electricity - monthly broadband electricity volume supplied on all days of the particular month, and so called blue electricity - monthly broadband electricity volume supplied on all weekdays of the particular month.
