Market capitalization of CEZ has exceeded 20bn USD

Market capitalization of CEZ has got over 20bn USD in these days, which was supported, together with increasing stock quotation on the stock exchange, by stronger exchange rate of the Czech crown. As a result, the trend of reinforcing position of CEZ as the largest Central-European firms (including Austria) according to market capitalization continues. According to its market capitalization, CEZ has caught up on such world firms as Sharp, Veolia or Volvo.Total market capitalization of the company for all share-holders has risen by 373.2bn CZK to present 475.6bn CZK under the current management.

CEZ´s Electricity production from renewable sources increased by 19 % and amounted to 1.45 TWh in 2005.

Total electricity production in CEZ´s renewable sources in 2005 was higher than in the year 2004. This steady increase was kept by hydro-power plants, which produced over 1.3 TWh in the twelve months of 2005. Production in wind-power plants and utilization of solar energy remained roughly at the same level. Production by biomass combustion was the only one to record a marked year-on-year decrease.

The reliability of power supplies in COLORLAK will be ensured by Energetika Vitkovice from CEZ Group.

Pursuant to the agreement concluded with COLORLAK, a.s., the joint stock company Energetika Vitkovice, member of CEZ Group, will begin to mange power economy of the above mentioned company. Managing of the power economy will be initiated on 1 February 2006 and will last at least 15 years. Power assets will be still owned by COLORLAK.

NEW CEZ GROUP COMMUNICATIORS FOR WESTERN BOHEMIA

Plzen, 18 January ? In January this year, press officers of former regional power suppliers (ZCE, STE, SCE, VCE and SME) belonging to CEZ Group moved to the section of communication of CEZ, a.s. However, they will continue working as communication managers and CEZ Group press officers in given regions.
